Hair today....gone tomorrow

Out of the blue, on Wednesday this week, Hannah came up to me and told me she wanted to donate her hair to "Locks of Love". I had mixed feelings about her getting her hair cut off...at times I had wished it were shorter so as to avoid the trauma of the brush, and other times I have been thankful for the ability to pull it back into braids or a ponytail. But in the end I decided she was old enough to decide for herself whether or not to have her hair cut...besides, how do you say no to charitable wishes? So, on Friday we went to see my Aunt Lucy who is a hairdresser and has connections to "Locks of Love". Of course, I had to document the occasion with a few snapshots!

Long, beautiful hair...

First of two ponytails to be cut off.

Two, ten inch ponytails going to a good cause.

Ta Da!

Short, beautiful hair!

The Shores Clan

I know this picture is from a few months ago, but I wanted to post a family picture. Here we are!

Bad, bad mommy!

After posting Josie's pictures, I realized that the only pictures of Isaac are the Chuck E. Cheese ones! I feel like I left him out...so here are some pictures of my Noodle bug.

Isaac and Lili have become quite good buddies, there is definitely less fighting going on between the two of them...and more playing!

What could be better than a sucker that turns your tongue blue?!?

Ahhh...to be 4 again...

Impossible picture

Josie has become so busy that even looking at the camera for 2 seconds for her mommy is too long to sit still. I tried to take some pictures for her 12 month mark, and it was so tiring trying to get her to look at me...and then to capture a smile while she was looking my direction...pretty impossible. These are what I got after about an hour and several shots!

The rare shot of her looking at the camera!

In all fairness to Josie and her attention span...It was a beautiful day, and every kid in the neighborhood was playing in or around our front yard. Okay, not every kid in the neighborhood, but I am sure it was every kid on our street. I guess it also helps to remember that Josie is only 1 year old!

Do your clocks have wings?

...because mine sure do! I can hardly believe it, but Josie's first birthday was Monday. I think it is safe to say that as I get older, time seems to pass more quickly! Josie is trying hard to fiqure out the whole walking thing, and I fear it won't be long. I'm sure things won't be much different than they are now, as she sure does move stealthily on those little knees of hers! Hopefully her hair will start coming in soon, so I don't have to keep correcting the comments about my cute little boy! She is so much fun and such a joy to have in our family. We love her.

I think it would be safe to assume that Josie enjoyed her Birthday cake!

just a little easy listening!
