No, we didn't fall off the face of the earth!

We had a great Christmas and the kids were of course way spoiled! More importantly we were able to spend some considerable time with family, which is always my favorite part of the Holidays! We feel very blessed and thankful for our loving family and friends!

While the Holidays were wonderful I am sure glad to be back in a routine and have the house back from the Christmas tornado! The kids are glad to be back in school and playing with friends, who they missed over the break.

So...every year for the past 3 years we have gone on a Christmas tree hunt! We call it our Christmas tree HUNT because that first year we went (I can't believe I am telling you all this because it may confirm the redneck in us!) Dave actually shot the tree down with a shotgun! Did he do that because we had no hatchet? No, he did it that way because it was more fun to do it that way! Anyway, it has become a tradition to go up and find our tree in the forest...and no, the last 2 years Dave was not allowed to shoot the tree down. Here are some pictures from the trip this last year...of course this was a couple weeks before Christmas, but just wanted to catch up a bit!

The kids had a blast sledding and eating real snow cones made with rootbeer! Yum! I am so over the snow now though and am ready for the sun to come back and warm us up!

just a little easy listening!
